The Poultney Woman’s Club is almost ready to open the annual “Tree of Giving” project. They have a new location again this year. The tree will be located at the former law office of Joe DeBonis at 226 Main Street in Poultney. It is a white building with a fence across the street from Stewarts. The club’s decorative Santa will be out by the fence each day that the tree is open. The tree will be open to take a name and shop for Christmas gifts or community members can stop by to make a monetary donation to the project starting Monday, November 8th and ending Saturday, December 11th. Hours are as follows Monday- Friday 12:00-4:00pm and Saturday 9:00 am-12:00 pm.
The club is starting the Tree of Giving project earlier this year due to news reports that items may be harder to find and stores may be crowded and short staffed because of the COVID pandemic.
