SVA Old Stone Church Bicentennial Success

Thank you to everyone that attended SVA’s Celebration of the Old Stone Church Bicentennial that took place on July 10th!  It was a wonderful community event with plenty of sunshine, great music and food, compelling guest speakers, the unveiling of the historic marker and the first in Vermont’s BIGGEST GROUP HUG!

Special thanks to Carolyn Stellatella for organizing the bug HUG and to Ennis Dulling of the Poultney Historical Society, Meg Campbell of the Preservation Trust of Vermont, Sarah Pelkey of Poultney Downtown Development and to  Dick Weis and Burnham Holmes, founders of SVA for their informative and generous presentations. Many thanks to Krista Rupe for her research and work on obtaining the important historic marker for the building.  And thanks to Calypso Connections, Backyard Brass Band, Poultney’s Welsh Choir and the BBQ Barbershop  Quartet for their inspiring and lively music. Thanks to the many volunteers that helped make the event happen. It was a memorable day for Stone Valley Arts and Poultney. SVA appreciates all support and recognition of the importance of the arts and history in Vermont!
