Holiday Fest is Just Around the Corner!

HolidayFest!  Even the name says something: the holidays, a festival, and excitement for all.  On Saturday, December 17th, 2022, the Poultney Area Chamber of Commerce holds its first annual HolidayFest!  at the Rail Trail crossing on Main Street in Poultney.

The day actually starts with the Holiday Movie at the Poultney Public Library at 11 AM.  Kids will enjoy the movies, which feature some of your favorite holiday characters.  Shopping opportunities abound, whether you’re looking for gifts, clothing, books, small appliances, and housewares, hunting and fishing supplies, toys and hobbies, artwork, bicycles, gift certificates for services, or stocking stuffers.

You can fuel up yourself and the family with food from Poultney’s restaurants and eateries, including Perry’s Main Street Eatery, Taps Tavern, Toads Burgers, Stewarts Shops, Full Belly Deli, Shaws, Poultney Pizza, and the East Poultney General Store.

Then get ready for the grand finale from 4 PM to 7 PM, as HolidayFest! comes alive.  Gather at the Rail Trail for lights, vendors, a special visit from the Poultney Fire Department, and one of your favorite holiday characters.  (He’s a little grumpy, but he does have something for each child who visits him.)

We know Santa likes milk and cookies.  But did you kids remember to feed the reindeer, too?  After all, where would Santa be without them?   Visit the Reindeer Food Bar at Poultney HolidayFest, where you can make your own special bag of reindeer food to scatter on the lawn on Christmas Eve.

The big kids can finish some of their holiday shopping, too.  Vendors will feature gifts of goat’s milk soap, handmade jewelry, tea, cocoa, and more.  The Original Vermont Store will be open until 7 PM on HolidayFest night, offering 15 percent off all purchases made between 4 PM and 7 PM.  Reclaimed has gift certificates for the person who likes to make things, and you can tour the facility at the same time.

The Poultney High School PTO will be holding some fund-raising activities at HolidayFest.  It’s a new group in town, dedicated to working with the High School.  Help this new group out with a donation to get them up and going!

Poultney HolidayFest!  It’s a new event for Poultney, and a new start heralding the coming New Year on Saturday, December 17th, 2022. Come join us; we’re going to have lots of fun!  The Poultney Area Chamber of Commerce is an independent non-profit organization whose purpose is to guide, inspire and promote the best interests of the business and professional groups in the Poultney area, and to enhance the economic, cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities of its citizens.
