The Chamber solicits items that are useful during the early winter season, enough to stuff the ice fishing shanty parked somewhere on Main Street.  Some groups and organizations challenge each other to see who can collect the most.

The Chamber organizes the event, provides publicity, collects and sorts donations, and distributes them to organizations that distribute them. Items collected vary depending on the year.
